Guest guest
Just wanted to post a quick update. It looks like 90% of 's SI problems are gone with Vit E, and I have also seen a better coordination and stronger grasp. I have also noted that since In started the Dimethylglycine w/folinic acid and B12, his speech is improving and we lost the hiperactivity from the Vit E, we were dealing with " noticeble " behavior change on Vit E... Guest guest
That's fantastic!!! Are you giving the Dimethylglycine w/folinic acid and B12 orally? Why do you think it helped with the Vit E hyperactivity? > > Just wanted to post a quick update. Guest guest
If you have not, I would really encourage some of you to look at the supplements that Dan doctors tend to recommend for their patients. I think the nutritional deficiencies in autism and apraxia are very similar. DMG, folinic acid, and methyl B12 are often helpful for children with autism. Children with ASD often have low levels of carnitine and omega 3 fatty acids. > > > > Just wanted to post a quick update. Guest guest
DMG, folinic acid and B12 can all help if there is a problem with the folate cycle. There is a good description of the folic acid cycle here (though the discussion is focused on children with Down's Syndrome who also have issues with folinic acid/B12/DMG): http://www.einstein-syndrome.com/biochemistry_101/wipers_bus.htm > > Hi , yes I am, it is the one from Kirkman Labs. > > I started on it after reading on the book Children with Starving Brains the following quote: > > " ...DMG is an important non-toxic supplement... In some children, DMG will start activating greater language ability. > > ... Giving folinic acid along with DMG will often prevent hyperactivity... " > > I found that interesting, and I wondered if it would help with the vit E issues, so I gave it a try. > I would not be able to explain you why it is helping, but it is. I had Dani on Vit E for several weeks before adding the DMG, Maybe or someone else with a better understanding on how these supplements work can help us here, it seems to be the folinic acid, not the DMG that helps with hyperactivity. Anyone??? >
