Developing Successful Migrant Health Delivery

Models

& Funding Proposals

January 28-29, at the Portland

Marriott Downtown Waterfront

Delivered by the

National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc., and a team of experts,

this one and a half day hands-on intensive will review the basics of Federally

Qualified Health Centers, as well as provide guidance on recognizing and developing

appropriate migrant health delivery models (health center, mobile unit, voucher

program) and writing competitive funding proposals.

Who should attend: Current grantees, potential grantees and new staff wanting

to get an in-depth view of 330-migrant health grant writing.

Why this is a great opportunity: Participants will have lots of time to ask questions

and will gain ideas directly related to their particular health care situation.

Detailed Workshop

Description

Part I of this two-part intensive will focus on the

fundamentals of program expectations, strategic thinking in developing your

program and how to locate data and do a comprehensive needs assessment.

ideas for discussion and feedback.

Part II will build on the fundamentals of the previous session, with a focus on

the pragmatics of developing effective health and business plans that form the

basis of sound migrant health programs and funding proposals. In this workshop

the participants will learn the core aspects of the health and business plans
