Hearing Screening Question

While we had our meeting with the EI group today, they took our son

for a hearing screening. Well, they say he did not pass it. We didnt

watch, as they did it while they had us in the meeting, but they told

us it amounts to having them drop a ball in a bucket when they hear a

beep. Well, I'm not so sure he didnt hear it, as much as he might not

have wanted to do (or understood how) what they told him to do.

Is this a normal hearing screening? Again we have an appt with

developmental pediatricians Monday so I will address the issue there

but I was surprised, I guess I thought it would be more in depth than

just telling them to drop a ball in a bucket, LOL.

We've always been sure he can hear us, but I realize it is something

that needs to be checked.
