Guest guest
My DS was dx'd w/ Apraxia, SID and Hypotonia at about 2 yrs old, and rec'd EI and Special Needs Preschool until last year. He is now in a regular kindergarten, and doing well - he tested out of Special Ed, is no longer recieving ST, and seems to be able to communicate well. He has started wiping his mouth and cheeks w/ his sleeve and/or the shoulder of his shirt and irritating them. I just got off the phone w/ his teacher, who believes that this behavior is attention seeking, and I should ignore it. I am not convinced,as he does it even when he doesn't know I'm looking. Does anyone have experience w/ this behavior or have some ideas about what I can do as far as sensory input? Thanks
