Guest guest
The University of Washington Toddler Assessment Project is looking for 18-30 month with definite or possible delays in language, motor, and or cognitive skills, including children with known genetic disorders, to participate in a study of development. (Note: we are not looking for children with autism or suspected autism.) Parents will bring their child to UW for up to 5 visits in which play based and table top testing of skills will take place. Eligible children will get a full developmental assessment (free of charge) and a written report documenting their child's skills. Families receive up to $125.00 for their time. Clinicians will also provide referrals for services available in the community. Participation will help researchers better understand early behavioral and biological signs of developmental delay and autism, including better understanding of early brain development. This will help us better understand why children with developmental delay and autism have the challenges they do. A second goal of the study is to better identify children with developmental delay and autism very early in life. Your family's participation directly benefits science! Whom should I contact if I am interested in the study? Contact our offices by calling toll-free, 1-888-288-6162, or contact our project coordinator at uwstaart@....
