Well, decided I had better let you all know I am still alive. Will

share my experiences this week: had my annual gyn appt last month.

Having some real heavy bleeding (sorry fellas) during my period which

I never had before. She did all the tests including a biopsy and

ultrasound to see if there was anything physically wrong. everything

was negative so she gave me a script for my heavy flow days to help.

I am also having an issue about 2 weeks later after my period of

extreme fluid retention and another day of discharge. She isn't

sure about that but when I see my Endocrinologist in March I will

talk to her about that. So...such is my saga so far.

Now, most of you know I am going to WW with my 11yo (who lost another

2.2lbs this week I am so proud of her :=)))) ) I tried their

plan, stayed within points and have lost about 11 lbs but had a big

gain due to the water retention last week. I never felt really *well*

doing this and realized (DUH) that it was the carbs I allowed back

in. I got carried away with the evening snacks (I always had 8 pts

left for the smart ones icecream sandwiches or fudge bars and ate my

8 pts worth from 7pm - 9 pm) and we know that is not healthy. So, I

went back to low carb, getting 95% of my points from protein and lost

2.8 lbs this week and have felt sooooo much better physically. Now,

you would think I would have learned my lesson over the last 5 yrs.

HAH, gotta hammer it home that I cannot eat everything I like to eat

because my bodyjust does not do well with certain foods.

I keep ozium in my purse for emergencies for gas. However, giving up

refined carbs and starchy foods as well as legumes has really kept my

gas problem to a minimum. I bought the ozium at an auto supply store

and it comes in little cans so it fits in my pocket and purse.
