I see the hematologist tomorrow to see if they've stayed normal over the past month with just oral supplementation. The first time you have an iron infusion they go very, very slowly, because yes, you could have a reaction. I asked what that reaction was, and they said your muscles would cramp up. I fortunately did not have that problem and each infusion was faster than the last. The first one took nearly 2 hours! In the end it was about 15 minutes. But you know what it works! I didn't even know I was so anemic, I didn't even know I was so tired. I'm a working mom of two kids under 6, I though I was supposed to be tired. But I tell you I felt like a new woman after those infusions. At first it only last about a day, then a little more now I really do feel great, I can't tell you what a difference it has made. Blessings to you, I hope all goes well. You will feel better! Liz
