I am so glad to hear that!!! Mine is in the mail and I can't wait to try it.

Hopefully I can then tell my husband it's safe to move back into the bedroom.

.. . .poor thing!

Meli:

I have one piece of advice. Don't buy too much stuff pre-op. The reason I

can suggest this is that I did it and wound up with a cabinet and

refrigerator full of stuff that was absolutely useless. I'm not belittling

Devrom, we have some. And haven't used it. The problem is that we don't

all have the same problems nor do we all have or keep the same tastes. I

loved low fat Danon Yogurt before the surgery and am beginning to like it

again recently - 5-1/2 months out. But I didn't like it much when I got out

of surgery and what I had put in the refrigerator is long since in the

trash. And I simply haven't found a need for Devrom. Finally, there was

plenty of time and volunteers to get what I needed from the grocery store or

internet after the surgery and I knew what I needed and wanted.

Hope that helps. I will keep you in my prayers for a boring outcome of your

surgery.

Regards.

you can get Devrom from the following web site:

http://www.parthenoninc.com

They do not take credit cards on the net but if you submit your info

and a phone number they will call and you can give your credit card

info over the phone.

Hope this is the information you were looking for.

Hi Meli!

I had to laugh at this one! I think I know of some people who could

use this who haven't had the surgery!

I have a question tho, what exactly is Devrom? Is it an herb or

vitamin supplement? Do you need a prescription for it? Where can I

purchase it?

Thanks,

M

Tom,

I just found your answer to my question. Thank you, thank you, thank you -

especially for the warning about Devrom changing poop colors. I would

probably have run to the ER if you hadn't mentioned that. Mine is still

very lite in color and Dr. Kim says it's because of bile.

I guess I really missed something because I never read about the carbs doing

this to us. Or maybe I just didn't want to " hear " it. I'm Italian also and

could gladly have pasta for every meal.

I will be anxiously awaiting your report on charcoal - with my fingers

crossed. I had some charcoal in my hand the other day at GNC and put it

back, thinking I didn't know enough on the subject yet and didn't want to

waste any more money (I've got protein bars and shakes coming out of my

ears).

I would like to mention though that I just had a good shake for breakfast:

MYOPLEX (I think their biggest seller?) in Chocolate Cream. The man at GNC

suggested I split the pack into two shakes. So half a pack mixed with one

cup milk, handful of ice, one splenda and that's 29 grams of protein

altogether. Great way to start the day....and without GAS!!

Thanks and Good Luck,

Beth:

Yes, I order them through the Parthenon Company. I take two in the

morning and two in the evening.
