Guest guest
>snip ... I just can't stand clutter and learning to " throw away " stuff has gotten all " mixed up " with the same concept of " throwing away " food -- the last two years I've really learned to throw away -- put in the trash those things that I don't want / need / have no clue why I saved...and the same concepts moving to the " food " left on my plate (in the trash) -- like it all goes together for me somehow or another...>> I found a couple of things that make it easier for me to discard things. 1) Figure out how someone else might benefit from them. Now with this one you have to be careful not to bombard all your friends and families with all those useful little treasures that you just don't need anymore. So consider the Goodwill, Salvation Army, and local charities that take donations. Toys in good condition are sometimes welcomed by day care centers, church nurseries, shelters for homeless or abused women and children. 2) If it's food, start a compost heap. My dog was heartbroken when I started a compost heap because she thinks she should have first shot at any leftovers, but I recently met a 26 pound Chihuahua who'd been routinely fed table scraps by his elderly dad and I figure it's better to let her be disappointed than to risk her ballooning like that cute little fella did. His dad died recently and though he had the good fortune of finding a wonderful and loving new home, he's also now experiencing the joys of dieting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ nosophist1@... or amy@... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
