on the day and wear a size 6/8. The problem is my goal weight was 135

and I would love to get there.

Kathy, I have been at more or less the same weight now for about three

months. I eat about 1500-1700 cal./day, do cardio and weights, drink

all my water, take my vitamins etc., and my weight loss seemed to come

to a halt of its own volition. My main concern these days is making

sure that I don't rebound too much. I have a " weight range " that I

consider good for me, and I try to stay within it. So far, so good....

I'm 16 months out from my surgery, and I stopped losing about 14 months

post-op. Technically, I am about 5 lbs. over what my surgeon originally

told me to aim for, but at my last visit he told me to stop losing. A

couple of times I've approached that magic original goal weight, and

find that I really do look sick there. Tired, sunken eyes, pallid, skin

hanging more than usual, etc. I, too, wear mostly size 6 clothing --

and to me, that seems seriously small. So I'm wondering: what is it

about the magic number 135 that makes you want it so badly? If you're

at a good weight for you, wearing small sizes, healthy, and happy,

what's the big deal about 5-8 more pounds? I'm not trying to be

critical here, but I do think that sometimes we set our sights on one

particular thing, and forget that life isn't lived by numbers on the

scale.

Take care,

I.

My weight loss stopped when my surgeon told me that if I did not regain

some weight he was going to feed me through an IV. I am one of those

who has a problem maintaining weight. I had to force myself to eat

more.

I would not give up on reaching your goal weight yet. You might want to

read Pouch Rules for Dummies for some insight into how to better use

your pouch to reach you goal,
