Dear Krissy, I want you to do us a favor and mkae sure we know exactly the

date and time you are having surgery so we can pray at just the right times

more heavily than usual. Also, please have someone post us here at gradlist

to let us know how you are doing after surgery. We are in your corner, and I

myselff only knw of fisulas between the vaginal and bowel wall that come from

injury in childbirth. I don't think it is the same. BUT, if I was having

surgery of ANY KIND, I would want to know

--what is scar tissue going to be like after--just an estimate, you know,

does this surgery leave a lot, or a little, or what?

--how should I liimit lifting things, like how many pounds can I lift and

when can I lift things with impugnity>

--is there a chance of getting a hernia with this op/repair?

--What are the surgical morbidities associated with fistula repair of this

kind>

--What is possibility of sepsis? (infection)

--is the anesthesia or the pain killer you prescribe going to constipate me

so I try to tear a hole somewhere else post surgery.

--(and I would ask myselff, from experience--what are the best painkillers

for me? and I would communicate this to my doc)

--I would want to nknow how swallowing and digestion are going to be directly

post op, then at a monthlater, then at six months.

these are just what I would wish to know, if it were me.

Now, don't forget, when the time comes to have someone let us knw how you are

doing.

love,

ceep G-MOM
