Guest guest
I can say YES to Moving across syllables! my daughter has been intense SLT since age of 11 months for moderate apraxia- started traditional therapy 11 mths ( 1 hr a week) to age of 3 years (2 1/2hrs a week) at three years kept with traditional (2 1/2 hrs/week + 1 1/2 hour PROMPT per week. had prompt until age 5, when she started kindergarten (5 years 1 month) her SLP started moving across syllable and it has done wonders for her. Its not as good as PROMPT for apraxia but I have been very pleased, she is now in 2nd grade and has overcomea lot of deficits, still need therapy but is doing very well I have not heard of any district (we live in NY) that does Kaufman (my understanding is that it is extremely expensive) pat Mom of Molly , age 7 1/2 [ ] " Moving across syllables " assessment - pro's or con's? after Kaufman Hi, my son has had the Kaufman articulation assessment done and his SLP noted he had either severe phonological disorder or apraxia of speech. He then transitioned to the School preschool program. The new SLP wants a Moving Across Syllables assessment. We have been unable to find out much about this. Anyone have some insights? Thanks, Amy
