One week & I have a COLD!!

Will this stop me from having the surgery? I called my PCP and am

on prescription cough syrup. I feel totally fine except for the

cough....

Hillary, I had a friend who had a cold one week before surgery. It really

scared her, but at her pre-op visit with the doctor, he said nothing. By

the time surgery was here, the cold was gone. I was on anti-biotics 4 days

before surgery for 2 very nasty root canals, and that was no problem. I

just stopped taking them the day of surgery, and in the hospital I was told

we got anti-biotics anyway.

I hope this finds you feeling better!

Please be sure your RX cough med's do not contain any form of Asperin. You

can't have any 2 weeks prior to surgery.
