Guest guest
I think the people I am now working for are completely blind to what is going on in other companies. I think they have now idea what some other companies consider important. They only hire people based on skill and experience. They don't seem to notice if you are too fat, too old, too dark, too not english speaking and on and on. All they really care about is profit. And they have decided that the best way to make money is through employee contentment, customer respect and other really dumb ideas. I am a mere clerk and am being treated like an executive. They have Morbidly obese people and people older than me. Fay Bayuk 300/175 10/23/01 Dr

Guest guest
DON'T get me started. The greatest guy on earth (mine) will be 55 in March. MOUNDS of experience, the mellow of 55 (vs 35) to go with it, and he is largely unmarketable. Sigh. So many in our little circle are out of jobs. Of course, lousy market for anybody, but SOMEBODY has to be in those jobs. Kids? I know another dear lady, fired due to internal politics, very good at what she did,but over 50. Disposable. Dang.
