Well, I made it home and thanks for the encouragement. I had open RNY

on December 3 and came home on December 6. All went well, though the

waiting was horrible. I was supposed to be there at 9:30 at the

latest, so to beat traffic I ended up being there at about 8:15. Then

I waited until about 10:15 before they took me back into preop. Once I

was in preop, they were so busy getting me ready that I didn't have

time to worry and I knew it would be alright. In recovery, I panicked

while I was waking up, but they continued to talk me through it and I

was alright. Then I was stuck in recovery for 8 hours while they

waited for an empty bed. I was not allowed to get up (what misery).

So I just started doing foot circles to prevent blood clots and deep

breathing to prevent pneumonia while I was lying there. I came out

three days later and still have absolutely no appetite. The kids even

had pizza last night and I didn't even want to look, it was so

repulsive to me! I am so happy that I did this and didn't chicken out!

I can't wait to weigh myself, but I'm scared to, I really don't feel

like I've lost anything in a week. Probably going to wait another week

or two before I do.

Just wanted to say that the information on this group is amazing!

Everybody's support is great.
