Guest guest
It occured to me that this whole process is so different for all of us, that may be why they call it practicing medicine. Each of us heals differently, and each of our surgeries is different. The surgeons take varying amount of times to accomplish the same procedure. The healing is so different for each of us, and their recommendations are unique to the individual. While some of you are still working through your pain at two weeks, I've already been back to work for a week. While some of you have terrible problems with swelling, mine was pretty much gone within a week. My stitches were gone by day 10, while I've read of some taking 4 weeks to dissolve. Some surgeons don't want the OD touching you for 8 weeks, while mine insists on me going back within 3 weeks. Each of our cases, although similar, is different. What makes this forum so amazing is we can get an appreciation for what others are doing. We can share misery and joy. We can get advice from other's who have gone before us, and encourage those who come after us. Thanks to all of you who participate by posting, replying, or just reading. Guest guest
Right on, well said, Dammit. I have noticed the same thing in the posts, yet you have written it so eloquently for all of us to ponder. Thank you to those who have had their surgery...for the support and advice to us beginners. This is a very secure friendly place to visit.
