Guest guest
Sam Biondi had an excellent seat for the Superbowl. He was in the 4th row on the 50 yard line. Midway through the first quarter, someone tapped on his shoulder. " Excuse me " the stranger said. " But I couldn't help noticing that the seat beside you is empty. Is any one sitting there? " " No, you can sit there if you want " Sam replied. " Thanks, this is much better than my original seat " the stranger commented as he sat down. " I can't imaging that someone would pay all that money for a Superbowl ticket and then not show up " " Oh, it's my seat " Sam replied. " Actually it's my late wife's seat. We went to every Superbowl together since 1973. After all those years together, the Superbowl was a special time for us. It's hard to adjust to her being gone. I just couldn't bring myself to sell the ticket for money. " Thankful, but surprised, the stranger asked " I can appreciate you not wanting to make money from your wife's death. But couldn't you have given it to a relative, a neighbor or a friend? " " I tried to " Sam responded. " But they're all at her funeral today.
