Guest guest
Hi, Donna, can you push it in? If so, it sounds like it may be a hernia, at least, that is what mine felt like. Good luck....and of course, you should check with your doctor. marilyn " Donna " wrote: > Hello, my name is Donna and this is my first time posting. Guest guest
Hello, my name is Donna and this is my first time posting. I apologize that the first time is regarding a problem, but I will do better from this day forth ... It seems like this is happening a lot lately ... but, here goes. Please keep in mind I am 14 months post-op - not newly post-op. I woke up this morning with a hard area in the center/left portion of my stomach, between my ribcage and belly-button. I normally get this after drinking 8 ozs. of water, eating solid foods, etc., but it usually goes away, especially by the next morning. I don't know if I am just full of (sorry) poop - although I have a small BM daily - or maybe it's a kink that food has problems passing, or even a hernia ... I don't know. It's not extremely painful, just uncomfortable and constant. This has been going on for some time - several months. I brought it to my surgeon's attention about 3 months post-op, but it wasn't very hard when I went in and he said it was nothing. As I lose weight, it has become much more noticable and even visible (the hard area protudes slightly on the left side). It goes away for a couple of days, only to return. Opinions?? Maybe a good post-op laxative??? Has anyone experienced this?? Donna
Guest guest
Marilyn, I'm goin' thru somethin' similar... I've had some pain in my left lower quadrant.. It's worse when I bare down or cough. There is no protruding. I had a friend (An ER doc I work with, that's also a plastic surgeon) look at it last night at work, she thinks it's probably like a muscle tear or somethin'.. If I'm lucky it'll be a hernia...LOL.... I got some skin I'd like to have removed, however my friend say's I don't have any that she'd remove. Good news is that she say's she can fix my big 'ol hypertrophic scar... Little laser work, little scalpel and whala.... good as new.. she say's my insurance will pay for it since it's causing me such horrid pain and lot's and lot's of constant itching....(Think maybe she's throwin' me some hints?) I think that my pain in my LLQ of my ab may be caused by my crunches..... over 200 a day.... Gonna lay off, or try to lay off those for a day or two.... Just my thoughts and opinions...
