thanks for you kind words of support. I am hoping the Christmas

season helps the wait go faster. Of course I think of the " how many

days til " a million times a day!

I wanted to know how pregnancy works when you have the surgery. I am

currently infertile. There is a valid medical reason why I am

infertile but I am not 100% infertile so I MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT get

pregnant. It is a long shot but I wanted to know what your ob & your

WLS doctor have told you. We don't " use " anything to prevent since

we are infertile(7 years & 2 adopted children later) but I want to be

prepared for anything.

I had unexplained infertility for years and when I got custody of my cousins

daughter I thought we would get to keep her and I quit going to the

infertiltiy doc since every month was a big disappointment and 6 months later I

got

pregnant for my twins on my own. I still never took anything after I had them

since I did not think I was going to get prego again and after 2 years tried a

round of Clomid with IUI and I got prego for my giril first try, very weird. I

never took anything again and did not conceive until I was put on birth control

for a cyst and when I went off the pills I got prego but had a miscarraige, I

never got prego again, I went on birth control before my bypass just in case

and then at 8 months post-op I quit them thinking that was long enough and I

would preobably not get prego again but I ddi right away coming off the birth

control again but also Miscarried again. I did not go back on the pills and here

I sit 8 weeks along today and doing well this time around. I have not really

got to discuss my fertillity with the surgeon or OB, they think it's no big

deal I guess. But I think it has been screwy I have ready and heard on my

group that once you start losing weight your fat cells released many stored up

estrogen that was being held captive in your fat cells and that is what makes us

more fertile. There are many women on my group, a prego or trying to concieve

group, that have had PCOS and they are now having babies they never thought

they would be having. One woman just joined the group this weekend.She was

INFERTILE, NOW 42 years old and just found out she is pregnant with her first

baby

ever. She is soooo scared but ssoooo happy. This is the name of the group if
