Dear Regina,

I am so glad to hear that something positive occurred in your life for a

change.. I know that Tim really loves you to have gone to all this trouble

and you are one fortunate lady.. he sounds like a true keeper..

That is great that your friend gave you a gift certificate to your fave

place to dine and babysat so you could enjoy it also..

I am , for one, so glad to hear you were able to go out and do something

enjoyable and not need the bubble wrap for a change.. just be careful , ya

hear..

Take care.. and congrats on being 40 and feeling so much better.. and

younger..

Hugs,

from GA

Just wanted to share something happy for a change. My 40th birthday is

officially over. Tim gave me a surprise party on Saturday night with

about 40 of my friends. We had a great time and it was so good seeing

some people I haven't seen for awhile. Today was my actual birthday and

woke up this morning to Tim and the kids singing happy birthday and

getting a beautiful diamond and sapphire ring. Sapphire is princess cut

and matches the pendant I have that Tim gave me when Leah was born. It's

her birthstone.

Have to admit turning 40 was a lot better than turning 30. Back then I

was 8 1/2 months pregnant and taking care of my terminally ill mother

and was well over 300 pounds. It's hard to believe that 10 years older

and I feel a heck of a lot younger and better than I did 10 years ago.

What a difference with energy, looks, etc. When I turned 30 I wasn't

really looking forward to the future even though I was pregnant with

this new life inside me. Was so miserable about my size, my looks, no

energy, etc. I start back to school tomorrow and just excited about so

many things coming up over the next few days, months and even years.

Never thought I'd be planning for a future as I was sure I'd be dead by

the time I was 40. Well here I am and think I'll stick around for awhile

longer. : ) Instead of making a wish for something I wanted when I blew

out the candles on my cake, I silently thanked God for this surgery and

for all of my friends (all of you included) for your love and support

over the past three years. I know in my heart that if it weren't for the

surgery and the support, I wouldn't be here today.

You've all been so supportive over the past few years, especially over

this last year with all of my trials, I thought I'd share something

happy with you for a change. Tim really went out of his way to make this

day very special for me. Planned the entire party by himself and saved

up for over a year to pay for everything. We went out to dinner tonight,

just the two of us. My friend gave me a gift certificate for one of my

favorite restaurants and babysat for us too. Just had a really great day

and wanted to share it with all of you.

Love,

Regina

Happy new life, as you round 40, Regina! The best presents are love,

caring and health, and you have them all. The party, the dinner, the

jewelry are symbols of the caring and love of your family and

friends. May you have at least another 40 years with the same

health, love and caring that you now experience.
