Everyone has to work to live and have their needs met. Where did the work ethic go? When I was pg I worked 2 jobs (7:30am to 10:30pm 6 days a week) to save up enough money to pay off my debts to stay home with my child. We both have full time jobs, don't mean all the doctor bills are paid by our insurance. As far as digital stuff goes, we had the camera before all of this happened to us. People hit rough spots and maybe someday when you need or ask for help someone is gonna turn you away for the simple fact of what you just did to me and my family. Most if not all the parents on this list are spending tons of money on theur own children. Some have health insurance and good jobs others recieve state aid...but all are struggling to provide what their children need. We do help each other in many ways but for actual $$ you may want to look elsewhere. In our situation my dh and I have a decent income (and insurance coverage for OT/ST) but pay hundreds of dollars a week for our son's therapies/supplements. I give absolutely no money to charity. I have no problem admitting that either. My son is my charity. I feel that providing for him and not asking for help is the best thing I can do. I pay taxes and consider that my contribution. I can venture a guess that many other parents on this list are in the same boat!! You are not likely to recieve a warm response when you are asking people who are fighting with everything they have just to help their own children. I think it's fair to say that almost everyone on this board has hit 'rough " spots, and would love to be able to ask for donations, but knowing that there are people far more worse off then ourselves may keep us a bit more rational & seek different ways of getting assistance, whether it be by SSI, DDD or through public schools. I for one would sell my house & all earthly possesions if I needed to, and would do what ever it takes to take care of my children. For example, all of last year I worked a grave yard shift surviving on 3 hrs sleep a night so I could take my son to therapy (that insurance did not cover) that was an hour & a half away. You do what you need to. I didn't go to your website, and don't plan to. You need to find a way to take care of YOUR children.
