Differences between Apraxia & Late Talking ???

Can someone refer me to a link or document that clearly defines the differences

between

late talkers and verbal apraxia or dyspraxia? Is there any concrete difference

that we can

use to determine whether my son is in either category???

My son was referred to by his SLP as a " late talker " , and doubted him having

Apraxia

because he had no chewing, swallowing, or feeding issues, and is not an

excessive

drooler... However, I remember that he said " li " for light over six months ago,

and now we

cannot get him to use the " La la la " sound any more... He is now more focused on

" ba "

words, like; bu for bus, bir for bird, bana for banana, etc... I haven't heard

him say " da " or

" la " in a very long time... He is currently 21 months old and not on any

medication at this

time...

Thanks so much for the information!
