Yes been there done that. Six weeks post op from my RNY I had to have

emergency surgery, spent five days in the hospital....not a pleasant

expierence to say the least. The abcess did not heal properly and I

developed a fistula and had to have more surgery about six months later.

Three surgeries in less than a year.

Not sure how common this is, or if it was related to the WLS but it was a

very very painful proposition to say the least. Gives new meaning to the

phrase.... " a real pain in the A$$ "
