Guest guest
Losing Teeth: It is one of the ten most common dreams that humans have. The other most common ones are falling, flying, showing up naked, being late, being naked in public, not being able to call for help, etc. We think, from the dreamers' personal associations to the content of their own dreams about this, that losing teeth dreams most often have NOTHING to do with ACTUALLY losing teeth, but rather often have something to do with losing one's primary means of breaking things down cognitively, (being able to digst something, for instance), or suffering from lack of nourishment, or beng denied access to 'get a hold of' an idea or person or thing, and so on. love, ceep shrink In a message dated 1/11/03 9:14:20 PM, Graduate-OSSG writes: << Yall make the conclusion. Guest guest
I was hoping you would weigh in on this one Ceep-shrink~ is this lack of nourishment that you are talking about...metaphoric, or a real physical lack? I also have the naked in public dream all the time. So frustrating! Trying to find my way to the exit, (I'm usually in a ball park or stadium loaded with people) without being seen...like yeah, right! HAHA!! But I thought dreams were to resolve daytime stresses, why the recurrances? I'm getting really weary of my current dream that I've been having nightly for many months, maybe a year even. Variations on the same theme. I'm feeling like there must be something I can change in my waking hours to alter this dream pattern, (Not the naked dream) as everytime I go to sleep, I end up back in the same place...I'm so happy when I wake up and see where I REALLY am! LOL!! Just like the teeth...so happy they are still there. (Sorta like banging your head into a wall...it feels so good when you stop!! LOL) Thanks for you input...I find your posts very though provoking! Hugs~ Jacque > Losing Teeth: It is one of the ten most common dreams that humans have. Guest guest
There is something you can do during waking hours. It's not simple. I have found, for me, that those recurring dreams are unresolved problems. So if I don't won't the problem in my dreams, I have to solve them when I am awake. My biggest problem that causes dreams is worrying about my finances. So the solution is to solve teh probelm while I am awake. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs. Guest guest
That's great Lori if you have the problem identified....I just can't put my finger on this one. The theme is I'm always trying to find my way out of a maze....usually a big city....keep running into dead ends....many variations on this theme..but basically the same dream. My marriage is stable, solid and happy. I love where i live! I am very content during my waking hours. The dreams are quite troubling and exhausting. What? Me worry?? LOL! Guest guest
I guess I forgot that little detail. The hard part is identifying the problem. Don't now what to tell you about the big city thing. If it were me, I would think there is something I am feeling trapped about and don't see a way out (sounds like a few jobs I've had - couldn't stand the job, working to much to look for something else.) Could be fun to figure it out though. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs. Guest guest
I thought about being trapped too...as that seems the obvious thing. I'm no longer trapped in my fat body, I'm no longer trapped in a house in an area that I hate. I can see where that dream would have been useful a long time ago...but I don't feel trapped by anything. Maybe it is financial contraints. My insurance company has me pinned to the wall with huge premiums...and that is a source of deep concern...that's got to be it...as I can't think of another single thing. This is interesting to me.
