Hi Kerri,

I have exercised 5 days a week for years & was in really good

physical shape before the surgery. My doctor was very clear that

there was to be no stomach exercises for 8 weeks. I followed his

instruction & at 8 weeks I started crunches & I was glad I waited. I

could tell how week the mucles were after being cut. I did howevert

start working out again after 10 days, when he gave me the okay to

drive.

Hope this helps

Again, I think all doctors are different in their opinions of what is

okay and what isn't. I was told to walk every day for the first 4 weeks,

then I could start swimming, then at 6 weeks I was clear to work out at

the gym and whatever else I wanted to do-nothing before that. Anyone

else told any differently?

I was told walking only for four weeks. Then I could do weights with the

exception of the stomach area which I needed to wait to 10 weeks out.

No, I was told pretty much the same thing. After 6 weeks, I was back to regular

duty, exercises and went back to work. :D
