Hello Leah,

I too had my rny on Nov. 18th. Seems like there was a lot of us that day.

I am from the Louisville, Ky area, and Dr. Jeff did my surgery. I was

only in hospital 3 days, he said I did great, but he wasn't in the pain. lol

:)))) I too am having a hard time getting my liquids and protein down. I

am still on full liquids and he did mention I could have really thin mashed

potatoes, which I have really been taking advantage of. I usually eat 3 oz.

of yougart for breakfast every morning and after that, very little protein

for the day. His nurse told me not to worry about it, I had enough stored

for the time being, just concentrate on healing for now. I go back to see

him on Dec. 5. Sure hope he adds to my diet. I was very nauseated for the

first week, but that has all passed now and other than getting tired a lot,

I feel pretty good. Our weather is very cold here now, I know it would be

better if I had done this in the warmer time of the year. Good luck to you

and we will all do this thing together. My scales say I have lost 24 lbs.

since surgery. The scales go down now one pound a day. I can handle that!!

Take care,

Shirley
