Guest guest
This could be TMI for the guys! Consider yourself warned. For those who know and those who didn't.....today I had some female exploratory surgery. I've been having pain for nearly three years. Mostly when DH and I have relations but often just walking around pain. I've been poked, prodded, scoped, x-rayed and ultrasounded. All this time I've been blaming it (the pain) on a dropped bladder. I figured that my bladder was squished into a nook or cranny while I was 500 lbs so it stands to reason that when I lost the weight it would drop somewhere. So the good news/bad news is that it is endometriosis. Some was zapped and some wasn't. I didn't see the doctor after surgery, DH did....but it seems that the rest will be " fixed " with medication. So good news is that I don't need a hysterectomy. Meantime, I'm one tired puppy. Amazing how much pain you get from 2 stabs to the tummy. Not excruciating mind you...but definitely pain! I'm told the pain in my shoulder is referred pain from the CO2 that was used. How long is that going to last?? Anyhow....time to get DH to make me some supper. Gotta collect on this 24 hours of sympathy while I can! Guest guest
Sue, the shoulder pain is usually gone within 24-36 hours - it is from the CO2 and it is awful isn't it. I had it with my rny as they tried to do it lap and I awakened thinking they had fractured my shoulder - didn't feel any pain from the wls because the shoulder pain over shadowed it. Congrats on no more surgery!! Amber/FL Honey, I'm home... This could be TMI for the guys! Consider yourself warned.
