This is what I was told anyway. Guest guest
Crystal, The symptoms of dumping seem to vary by individuals. Some people have severe diarrhea, sweat profusely, feel just generally not well while others feel like they are having a heart attack and have a severe need to throw up. I have experienced both reactions, neither of which is fun at all! As far as soft solids, that also varies. I was told soft scrambled eggs (not fried), toast without the crust, malt o meal, cream of wheat (no oatmeal), creamed soups, mashed potatoes, pasta, and all the other things you mentioned. I know that others will have different things on their lists but I hope this in part helps! T. Guest guest
Crystal, I was told the following were soft solids: bananas, applesauce, refried beans, lentil soup, split pea soup, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes. Don't have the list in front of me, but I'm sure others have more examples. I was told with eggs, they should be hard-boiled w/mustard. But scrambled, etc. were hard to digest. Don't know why.
