Guest guest
Hi All, I wanted to tag on to Bethany's statement about Stein Levanthal's disease or Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. I have this also and will have surgery Dec. 9th. Has anyone who had surgery had this diagnosis prior to surgery? How has your weight loss been? Has it been more difficult or slower going in your weight loss than others have experienced? Thanks for your help!
Guest guest
I have been diagnosed with PCOS for 4 years now. I had surgery March 31, 2003 starting weight 367.5 (I am 5'10 " ) and I now weigh 246, that is 121.5 lbs in 8 months.. not too shabby I think! I have realllllllly started slowing down on the weight loss and I am starting to wonder if my pcos is stalling things a bit. I still have " signs " of this disease (unwanted hair etc) but it is growing in tons slower than it used to... so maybe the weight loss is countering it. Good luck! »ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï« Lost time is never found. »ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï« Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome > Hi All, > I wanted to tag on to Bethany's statement about Stein Levanthal's > disease or Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. Guest guest
I have PCOS as well and I haven't done too badly! 122 lbs in 5 months, I'd say that's okay. I also still have unwanted hair, weird periods, etc., but not as badly as I did before. T.
