Guest guest
Hey Java drinking buds, I have been missing my cup-o-joe BIGTIME. they offered it to me in the hospital, but i did not take it. i am still drooling pretty much but with my SYSTEM at mealtime, with my mirror, etc, i can be pretty mess free. Something about drinking coffee in front of a mirror, vs with the daily paper in the easy chair, hmmmmmmmmm I miss it.
Guest guest
Try a Mocha Frappaccino from Starbucks - get your coffee fix cold! I sat in the parking lot scooping it up with a baby spoon - it also feels really, really good on a sore throat post-op. > Hey Java drinking buds, > > I have been missing my cup-o-joe BIGTIME. they offered it to me in > the hospital, but i did not take it. i am still drooling pretty much > but with my SYSTEM at mealtime, with my mirror, etc, i can be pretty > mess free. Guest guest
Yum yum, that's a great idea . I can piture myself scooping the iced chilly cafe beverage! How long does this sore throat last? I am wondering if it is now (6 days post op) " odd feeling " from a new way of swallowing, or if it still feels not right due to surgery, tube, etc. In the hospital the dr kept asking me if i felt heartburn. i did not, nver have in my life, wasn;t sure why he was asking. Now i feel like i do. i try to walk around a lot as it feels as though some meds or food or something is sort of stuck mid chest level. Is heartburn commom? Thanks for your replies . > > Hey Java drinking buds, > > > > I have been missing my cup-o-joe BIGTIME. they offered it to me > in > > the hospital, but i did not take it. i am still drooling pretty > much > > but with my SYSTEM at mealtime, with my mirror, etc, i can be > pretty > > mess free. Guest guest
Hi , I had a sore throat for at least a week, maybe more. I also had a terrible cough - it wouldn't go away, I would sip icy cold water as much as possible and even try to hold it in my throat. I was eventually diagnosed with a very mild cough variant asthma almost 1 year post-op. For me, it was hard to tell what was causing the problem, the coughing making my throat sore, or my sore throat making me cough. It was really a vicious cycle. I found it hard to swallow too. It does get better, can't say exactly when it did for me. Maybe you could try some antacid in liquid form. I was told by a doc this week that even if you don't feel gastric reflux (you know, where things come back up), it's possible for the gas to come up the throat and irritate the base of the throat. She thinks that could be part of my coughing problem, so we're checking out a prescription antacid for a few weeks to see if it helps, and I'm off my asthma meds. > > > Hey Java drinking buds, > > > > > > I have been missing my cup-o-joe BIGTIME. they offered it to me > > in > > > the hospital, but i did not take it. i am still drooling pretty > > much > > > but with my SYSTEM at mealtime, with my mirror, etc, i can be > > pretty > > > mess free.
