Guest guest
Thanks to all the well wishers here before I went into my surgery. I had open RNY November 21. I came home from the hospital on the 23. I havn't been up for the computer until now though. My surgery went without a hitch I have had absolutly no trouble with anything. Well aside from eating too fast a couple times and being paired with the chest pain. LOL. I have even managed to start getting 60G protein right off the bat from supplements of course. I had set my goal for 90, but I think that will come in time. I finally got to sleep in my bed the night before last and boy does that feel better then the recliner even though I still toss and turn and am very sore in the morning. I am going to make it. The surgery was a little more painful then I thought, but I should have known. IT wasn't so bad once they got the pain controlled after I first woke up. I am very glad that I have off from work until 1/2/04. I am sure that I will be feeling alot better in another week, but I wanted to have a chance to have some fun before my return and if I went back in two or three weeks, I don't think I would have got much. Guest guest
Mindy, enjoy the time off...I was off for 6 weeks and only the last three where I was going places and doing things(about the time the B- 12 kicked in)...It was so great, I dreaded going back...I have worked ever since my now 4 year old was a month old and I got to spend 6 beautiful weeks with him...I cried when I dropped him off at day care just like I did 4 years ago...I still miss chillin' with him(that is what we called it)...and my hubby and daughter miss the fact that they had no chores for about 3 weeks...I discovered that I could be a really great stay-at-home mom(something I could never imagine doing before this surgery)...I have more energy now to enjoy my family!!! IT is truly awesome!!! ANyway, glad you are doing so well and I am kinda wishing I was still off, maybe I could get some Christmas shopping done(I'm a dreamer)... )I thrive on Christmas shopping procrastination...Best of luck to you!!!!
