Guest guest
Is there somewhere that I can find like charts with different foods listed and how much sugar, sodium, protein, carbs, calories etc each one has?? Tomorrow is my last day of full liquids and I get to add eggs, yogurt, pudding etc.....then I will do that for a week. After that I get to add grits, oatmeal, toast with no crust..... Anyway, I am trying to plan ahead and maybe get an idea of what to shop for when I get to start eating more regular foods. Also, for those of you post op..approx how many grams of fats, carbs & sugars do you eat a day as well as how many calories??? Guest guest
I don't know about charts but there is a great book called " The complete Diabetic Carbohydrate and Fat Guide " . I lists every food you can think of including fast food Restaurants and Frozen Foods. After seeing the book I use my nutritionist even went and got herself a copy. I am not on any set number of fat, carb or sugar grams. I am encouraged to get at least 60 grams of protein. It takes almost everything I eat to get to that so I rarely have room for carbs. I keep my fat under 10 grams per day but that is just my own guideline. I think you can actually have 20-30 but I am sure some of the other ladies know better and will help you out.
