Guest guest
Hi everyone, Today I had my 5 month check up with my doctor and just wanted to let you know how things are. He said that my blood work totally blew him away with how good it was, B12, and all. I don't have to take any at this point. I also 'graduated' to regular vitamins instead of the Flintstones! Yahoo! I couldn't stand those nasty things anymore. The only thing that was bad about it is I have to start taking Konsul fiber twice a day so get my system going every day. I don't know what the big deal about that is but he insists. Oh well. I feel great and he was really impressed with how I'm doing and said there should be absolutely no problem with me reaching my goal weight in the next year. I hope so!! Here are my stats from my first consult until now. Date Lbs. 4/23/03 432.6 6/27/03 (1 wk post) 423.4 7/30/03 (5 wks post) 384.4 11/25/03(5mths, 5 days post) 313.0 Total 119.6 lbs GONE FOREVER! I am so happy! If I had suffered complications, If I had gone through hell because of this surgery, I'd still do it all over again just to LIVE! T. Guest guest
, Yes I had my surgery in Houston, although I currently live in Centerville (about an hour north of Huntsville). I lived in Magnolia at the time of my surgery and yes I like my surgeon very much. He has been practicing for 20 years and completed over 5000 of these types of surgeries (among others) and has never lost a patient-ever. He's very personable, doesn't treat you like you don't know anything...doesn't look down on you if you know what I mean. I have had that problem with a lot of doctors and cannot stand it when they think I am completely stupid-Dr. Naaman doesn't do that. He is really empathetic to your individual situation. He does all types of surgeries, you can check out his website if you like. It's www.drnaaman.com/drnaaman.htm. The only problem that I have had so far is that he's only in the office on Tuesday's and Thursdays because MWF he's at the hospital performing surgeries. However, his PA Julius, who you would see on a MWF is WONDERFUL. Congratulations on your progress. 20 lbs since the beginning of November is awesome! Keep up the good work! T.
