Guest guest
, I certainly understand. I think that is part of why I hit a plateau this summer and then gained a little. It takes more food to feel full now. There are things that I had almost forgotten about that I have started practicing again. I realize that if I eat protein in any way, shape, form, or manner I do not get hungry as fast. For instance, if I eat the dreaded carb cereal for breakfast, I am hungry an hour later. If I eat scrambled eggs with cheese, I can usually last about 3 hours. The other thing I keep having to remind myself of is that the brain really doesn't know the difference between being hungry and being thirsty. If I have eaten recently and still feel hungry, I have a 2 glass rule. I must drink 2 glasses (16 oz each glass) before I can eat again. It totally amazed me that at least half the time I was more thirsty then hungry. I also do a protein shake about midmorning if I have cereal in the morning. Of course, I need to practice what I preach but I know that it works for me. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas CHF 4/14/01 479 lbs. SRVG 7/16/01 401 lbs.
