Guest guest
Joanne, Before I had my surgery there were 2 that decided that they were not ready for the MGB when they were in the holding area. My daughters and I discussed this before I had my surgery. While in the holding area I thought about what my daughters had told me... they said they would tie me to the stretcher and not let me off. I told them they did not have to wait at the hospital all day and they could leave and just come back when it was over. They said NO we are not leaving because you might change your mind. They were teasing, they knew I wouldn't but I did think about it and it gave me a chuckle. Only one daughter did come with me but they were both going to at first. The holding area can be nerve wracking. For me that was the area I liked the least. Guest guest
I also get nervous when they are tying me down to the table. when I had neck surgery they were strapping me down and someone asked if I was OK and I replied that I was getting anxious and the anesthesiologist said he would take care of that and that is the last thing I remember for 8 1/2 hours!!! thanks for replying!!! Guest guest
Hi Margie. I have been approved by my insurance company, have the family letter, am waiting to get the family doc letter - I see him on Monday as we are trying to get my blood sugar down. I left the patient manuel with him the last time I was in but think he is OK with the surgery. Need to get my picture taken - my letter is finished and then just need to send everything off. Am thinking surgery the beginning of October. My Dad was the Ford guy - was with them for 41 years. Actually my Brother worked there for 30 - forgot - he is retired now.
