Guest guest
I was complaining (again) about no longer being able to take my Vioxx because of possible pouch irritation and my sister suggested that I could maybe take powdered aspirin mixed in liquid. I think this has possibilities since (1) liquids pass right through the pouch and don't have a chance to irritate and (2) even if they had a short chance the aspirin would be very diluted. My sister claims these powdered aspirins are very popular in Europe and Australia (a tidbit from my globetrotting nephew) and sure enough there are two varieties on Walgreens shelf this very moment as I type! So am I a victim of demented logic or is this a possible solution to my achy, arthritic knees? in Milwaukee Open RNY 8/7/03 316/245/
Guest guest
I have no idea on the answer to this. I also had to give up my Vioxx and aspirin. My doctor told me it can cause ulcers. It has recently gotten cold here again and so sleeping is just a nightmare for me because the pain is always worse and night and when it's cold. So when you ask your doc let me know what he says. I may want to ask my doc the same question. Tylenol just does not help at all. Guest guest
I would not use the asprin. My surgeon gave me celebrex and it works great and is safe for us. Guest guest
My surgeon, Dr. from Miami H.O.P.E., said it was OK for me to take Celebrex or Vioxx as long as I took it right after eating and took a Pepcid with it. I have been doing that with no problems. > >Reply-To: Gastric_Bypass_Family >To: Gastric_Bypass_Family > >Subject: Powdered Aspirin >Date: Sun, 23 Nov 2003 08:03:49 -0600 (Central Standard Time) > >I was complaining (again) about no longer being able to take my Vioxx >because of possible pouch irritation and my sister suggested that I could >maybe take powdered aspirin mixed in liquid.
