I had the surgery on Feb. 5, 2003. And what an exciting year it has been for me. I went from 310 lbs. to 130 lbs as of today. Of course I have had my ups and downs. I have had problems with my potassium levels and that is about all. I live in Michigan and had the lap procedure done by a wonderful doctor in Grand Rapids. My sister had the surgery done on Sept. 30th of this year and has had a few problems requiring some procedures that go in with a balloon and re-open her opening. I am a 34 mother of 3. I am on my second and last marriage to a wonderful and supportive man who loved me when I was at my heaviest and loves me probably more today! Even though he doesn't admit it.
