stopping meds before surgery

Someone asked about this. I went to my PS today and he told me to stop the

Vitamin E 2 weeks prior to surgery because it is a blood thinner. Also no

aspirin or aspirin-type products...same reason.

He did tell me to take Arnica Montana 5 pills per day for 5 days prior and 5

days after surgery. Supposedly this is to aid in healing bruising and lessen

swelling. Anybody take this before? Did it work? I will give it a shot and

see what happens.

He also said to stop the Milk Thistle, but admitted that he doesn't know what

Milk Thistle does, so stopping it is only precautionary on his part.
