Hi,

Have any of you that are struggling, or anyone in general, eaten the

Subway, 7 grams of fat or less, sandwiches? I'm thinking of running

there tonight for dinner (after all the steak and chicken I've had,

I'm craving something different)...

Is it going to leave me starving again in a few hours?

Hey, btw: I got on the scale today. Since I've started paying

attention to the hand mouth motion and asking questions in this type

of a forum (1 week) - I've shed 3 lbs.

Now I know that's not much - but it's a start.

You can do 3 things:

1. You can order one of the low-fat sub sandwiches, and only eat half of it

(or whatever it takes to fill your pouch).

2. You can order the sandwich, eat it slowly over about an hour, and wash it

down with lots of diet soda so you don't get too full (please know that this

is NOT the choice to make -- it led to me eating the foot-long sandwiches,

pretty much on a daily basis, and I am 40 pounds heavier than my lowest

weight post-op).

3. You can order the filling of any of the sandwiches as a SALAD, and skip

the bread altogether. Subway makes a salad out of almost all their fillings,

and it's excellent. (I don't think I'd try a meatball salad, but a nice

turkey and ham with some of their wonderful low-fat sweet onion sauce, not

that would be good.)

Trust me on this -- don't have the sandwiches to often. They just lead to

more carb eating and weight gain.
