Guest guest
Insurance companies suck. =) My insurance group approved my Dexascan in Dec 2001, but I never had it since I never received any approval paperwork. My doc resubmitted this past Nov, and it's been denied (I found out because I CALLED...not because I received any paperwork). The reason they gave is that I have no indication of being in danger of Osteo problems, so the test isn't indicated or necessary. I see my PCP this Thursday, so I want to take in any codes and research I can to help him. Amazingly enough, the same paperwork was submitted each time, but the insurance group denied it the second time. Just shaking my head in disgust... Thanks in advance, Staci ps I tried to upload before and after pics in an album I'd just created, but it said I could only do that in my own album..I *was* in my own album LoL! Yahoo glitch?? Guest guest
The diagnostic code on my bloodwork (which I do often) is: POST-SURGICAL MALABSORPTION, 579.3 I would suspect this should be similar to one used to justify the Dexascan. I never saw the referral for my scan, so don't know what code they used. Kate
Guest guest
At least a dexascan is only about $200. I know, " only " being relative, but not like it's thousands.
