Guest guest
Hello Everyone! I have found a great bread that I can have that has no flour. It is called EZEKIEL BREAD. It is made from sprouted grains. It makes great toast and is full of fiber. I have had a good regular bowel movement ever since I have started having at least one slice a day. I heard of it from my step-daughter whose son is ADHD and is on a very special diet with no preservatives or additives or dyes of any kind, and especially no white flour. This bread has no flour at all. I have a slice in the morning, toasted with a tsp of peanut butter. I also have my protein drink (PROSCORE 100- chocolate) I love that too. Of course since I am a proximal RNY, I don't need as much of it as you " Distals " ! You can find the Ezekiel 4:9 bread in the freezer compartment of any health food store. Ezekiel 4:9 is a verse in the Bible that talks about this combination of ingredients. Just wanted to let anyone that is trying to stay away from flour products. I am thrilled to have found this bread. It does have some carbs, but It doesn't cause the flow of insulin to store fat as quickly in your body. Hope this helps someone. Guest guest
I found the Ezekiel bread in the Health Food Store in the freezer dept. It has to be refrigerated because it has no preservatives in it. It is such a treat when I haven't been able to eat bread for quite awhile, since I have been on foods without flour. I have been on the Atkins eating plan since October 2002. I messed up during the holidays , but I am back on track now. I think you will love this bread. It does come with raisins also, but I haven't tried that one. My step-daughter told me about it. I have also made a decision to not eat cheese anymore. I think I will stay away from dairy altogether. Guest guest
> I found the Ezekiel bread in the Health Food Store in the freezer dept. Earlier this week I saw Ezekiel bread near the soy meats at one of our local Safeway stores (we have one that has a larger selection of vegetarian foods than the other 2). Tonight, since you recommended it, I looked in the health food section of Fred Meyers (I think we only have these stores in the Northwest), and they had 3 flavors, the original, the raisin, and sesame. I bought the original -- haven't tried it yet, but it will be a nice change. I tried Food4Life lo carb bread, and didn't like the texture at all, too spongy even toasted and hard to eat. I'll try the Ezekiel in the morning, and see how that goes. Thanks for the recommendation! ~~ Lyn G
