Guest guest
hang in there. You are going to feel so much better when that drain comes out. The pain and discomfort should become a little less every day. Have you been up walking? This should help the pain in the long run. As to the feeling hungry, is it an actual stomach rumbling? Is it possible this hunger is your head trying to make you get back into your old eating habits? I know that eating was my way of coping when I was under stress. I'm sure that as you are recovering, you are a little stressed. My best advice is hang in there it is going to get better. Guest guest
I felt the same way you do right after I had surgery. I don't think I honestly felt " hungry " it was more like I wanted to eat something really bad. I was in terrible pain and completely exhausted. The drain made me miserable and I wished like hell I had not had the surgery. I am now 11 weeks out and that has changed a lot. The pain took a long time to go away for me. I was on the pain pills for 3 weeks. It was five weeks before the pain was gone. It was 8 weeks before I felt " alive " again. I occasionally still want to " eat " something. But it has gotten a lot better!!! It WILL get better for you as well. Some people seem to have it easier than others I remember feeling something must be terribly wrong with me that I was so miserable and most seemed to be doing so well. The whole experience is just very individual. You have to remember that. Give it a bit more time. One your drain is out and later when you get on a regular diet things will be better and I suspect your feelings will change. In the mean time if you need someone to commiserate feel free to e-mail me any time ) Candi Re: I have my surgery on Nov 4 Hi guy...im 5 days on the loser side, and thats 5 days back on the fat side i think i'd rather be...i hurt, my side where the drain is is killing me, im so hungry for real food, i thought that u didnt get hungery for a while, not so here, i cant seam to get 4to 6 oz in per hour yet...help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in ks
