I didn't even have a visit from her for four months. Of course she visited this month whether I wanted her to or not. lol. But I was one of the lucky ones. It didn't happen to me in the hospital. Guest guest
Hi Crystal, I'm new to the group but I had to respond to this one. I had heard this from so many people before surgery and didn't really believe it, but guess what? The day of surgery here it came and I wasn't due either. I've heard this from almost everyone woman I know that still has them. Don't have any idea why though. Strange huh? Libby Lap RNY 8-5-03 _____ From: SouthernAngelsPC@... Guest guest
Hey Crystal, yes that can sometimes happen....due to stress, medications and hormones......sherri A question for the ladies! Guest guest
I heard this a lot, too, but it did not happen to me. But since my surgery 8/12/03 i have had 2 completely normal, almost pain free cycles. What a huge difference from before when I literally went into labor every month and had to take Toradol for the pain. It would take me out of work for a day each time. NOT the way I choose to spend my sick days! But since surgery it has really been a piece of cake! > I was told that even if its not time for " Aunt Flo " that I will probably get > her while in the hospital..is this so? or was this person full of bull??? > Anyone have this happen?? > Thanks > Crystal > > >

I was due for my period the day of surgery and did not get it, only a tiny bit of dried spotting type blood. did not even need a pad. so you never know... Guest guest
Oh ... I am in a similar situation.. My auntie flo is due about Dec 3rd.... and I am going for my RNY on Dec 2! I HATE urine cathiders.. When I had my son via c section.. some 100 year old nurse comes in and puts in the cath .. and forgets to close the foley bag... Pee spilled all over... and she sayes .. " Opps.. I hate when that happens " It is worse when it comes out.. because for the next few hours you have to feel like you need to pee.. but your " feeling " in the urethra is sorta numb. As for the Nurse changing your pad.... I doubt very highly after surgery you will care much. And.... most likely you will never see that nurse again.. and if you do.. you won't remember! You will do just fine!!! Peace, K Open RNY Surgery date : 12/2/03 5' and 252 lbs Re: A question for the ladies! Guest guest
This happened to me. I was always regular and had just had my period two weeks before surgery. Then, I got it again the day I was leaving the hospital. My doctor said it was normal due to the trauma of surgery.
