Guest guest
WellI have less than 36 hours to go! After my daughters dance recital today she went home with my mother in law(because surgery was originally scheduled for 11/17 before changed to 11/18 and she lives over an hour a way so I didnt want her to have to drive back tomorrow ) When I was telling my daughter (who is almost 3) bye It took all I had not to cry. All day for the last 2 days I have found myself fighting back tears about EVERYTHING...Kind of reminds me of when I was pregnant..LOL Anyone experience this BEFORE surgery?? I know it is something we go through after...I know all drs and all hospitals are different and each person is different but I have a couple questions. For those of you who went to ICU for the first 24 hours. if you arrive in ICU between visiting hours did they let your family see you? Then after that they had to follow visiting hours? How long after surgery before you have something to drink? Anyone with Sleep Apnea. Can you PLEASE email me privately. I have a couple questions. I still am not conciously *spelled wrong* scared or nervous. But I think it will hit me soon enough. Good Luck to everyone having their surgeries this week. Also, this question is being asked for my mom. Anyone who is like a year or two post..What does a typical day consist of as far as excercise and meals..what types and how much. Hi Crystal, I stayed in ICU the 1st 24 hrs and my family was allowed to visit me as soon as I was settled in my room. They had to follow visiting hours after that. I just barely remember them being there. I didn't get anything to drink until after my leak test the following afternoon. Good luck to you and my thoughts and prayers are with you. ~H.
