Guest guest
Okay this may seem like a silly question, but here goes anyway I have about 2 and a half weeks to go until surgery and I am making a list of things to remember to bring with me, and I was wondering does anyone know if there is any restriction on chewing gum, as long as it is sugar free? I can't think of any reason it would not be ok, but who knows with this thing I know it makes some people hungry, but it has the opposite effect on me so I thought it would be a good idea! Guest guest
Hi, No gum allowed. You may accidentally swallow it, and then it could block the opening to your pouch. Gum also stimulates your stomach to produce enzymes and such that make you hungry. there is probably 10 other reasons why no gum is allowed. Gum? Guest guest
The only things that I brought to the hospital that I actually used were my shampoo/conditioner, body wash, tooth brush/paste, feminine products, carmex, extra underwear and my clothes that I wore home. I brought books and tapes and things like that but was so out of it most of the time or had people visiting that I didn't even touch them. T. Guest guest
Actually Pamela I am not worried about hunger, it is the yucky taste I tend to get in my mouth I am a bi soda drinker and of course snakcer, and I will have to quit both. And I know from expereince if I can't keep my mouth moist with Diet Coke or some sort of fruity candy or something, my mouth tastes like morning mouth lol. Maybe that will go away when I am not eating all of the bad foods. Here is to hoping > > Okay this may seem like a silly question, but here goes anyway > I > > have about 2 and a half weeks to go until surgery and I am making > a > > list of things to remember to bring with me, and I was wondering > does > > anyone know if there is any restriction on chewing gum, as long as > it > > is sugar free?
