There is a show on talk radio here on Saturday mornings that features a

chiropractor who is a nutritionist. I found him very interesting and went

in for a total work-up last summer. I told him I was interested in

maintaining my health, not really changing anything.

I was within the normal limits (the " bar " is set a bit higher on some of his

levels) on pretty much everything but he felt my thyroid was a bit low. He

changed some of my supplements around and put me on one called Energenics.

He said he felt I would probably lose a couple of pounds even with

maintaining my regular diet.

He was right - I did lose 5 or so pounds and I continue to take Engergenics

daily. It says on the bottle the product is " designed to provide

nutritional support for healthy thyroid function and the proper metabolism

of thyroid hormones " . About the only thing that bothers me about it is cow

liver in it and I don't eat red meat.

Is anyone familiar with this or the company that produces it - Metagenics?

Thanks.

I don't do red meat, well most times, either, however if it were somethin'

that was workin', as it obviously is, for me then I'd really continue it.

Congrats on finding a DR. that really did understand and fixed something

that others may have overlooked.

BTW: Have you done a search for info. on the net. Try www.google.com and see

what ya come up with.

Yes, actually my brother-in-law works for them. He's a food

scientist, or something like that. I believe they're located in San

Clemente, CA. Other than that, I really know nothing about the

company. He's a workaholic, and even having my sister ask him a

question for me sometimes takes weeks to get a response. But, I will

email her to ask him about this product and see if I can get any

further info.
