Guest guest
Oh yeah that reminds me. When people at work (not the building where I told one person) ask what I am doing to lose weight, I say low carb, which is true as far as it goes, But People have complained about celebrities who claim to lose weigh with diet and exercise, when the had WLS. Do y'all think I am morally obligated to tell tthe whole truth when asked how I am losing weight? -- Jody
Guest guest
Jody, I do not think it is anyone's business, unless you choose to tell them about the surgery. People can be toooooo nebby at times!!!!!!! It is personal decision....sherri The Morons that I work with!! Oh yeah that reminds me. Guest guest
Jody, I think it's truly personal and you're not " morally obligated " to tell anyone ANYTHING about your personal life. It's your life....if you want to keep it to yourself, do so. You don't owe anyone (but yourself) anything. T. Guest guest
Hi Jody, No you do not have to tell anyone. It is your choice, I have not told anyone, when they say " your losing weight " I say yes! And thats it. If they ask how I say " just working at it " . Pamela 11/19/02 140+ lbs gone!! Guest guest
I agree... YOU decide who you want to tell. End of story. My friend only told two family members about her surgery before she had it. And that was after I begged her to please tell since (selfishly) I needed someone at the hospital with me while I was waiting for her to come out of surgery. She also told her employer since she would have to take time off from work afterwards. Ironically, now that she's three weeks post-op, she is perfectly comfortable telling complete strangers about the surgery, but still won't tell those closest to her. She's so open in fact, that last week during dinner at one of our favorite restaurants (yes, she's already eating out) I made her promise never to say the words " stapled my stomach and reconnected my intestines " to a waiter. In the final analysis, only YOU have the right to decide what you're morally obligated to do. Warmest Regards, Barb The Morons that I work with!!
