Guest guest
Wheres your surgery taking place? I will be at BID on that day having a hernia repaired. I was out of work for 3 weeks after my surgery and I had open, I don't really know about lap. I am having my hernia repaired with lap. It took me a good month before I started gaining my energy back after surgery. As for the pain, you will have meds for that when needed. I only needed them while I was in the hospital and about 2 days once I got home. Good luck to you and I am sure you will be fine. Guest guest
Hey, i had posted a couple of weeks ago for the 1st time and every one was really nice and had lots of great information. My surgery date is dec. 9th. I am very nervous... Does any body have any suggestions to help me relax alittle. I don't know why I am so nervous, I have had surgeries before and I completely trust my surgeon. Also can anyone tell me how long it took them to start feel better after lap rny and how long was it before you went back to work? Thanks , Debbie

Guest guest
The only thing I can tell you to do to prevent the nervousness is to think of your life 1 year down the line. When I had my surgery, I was so excited people thought I was crazy. I did not have one ounce of nervousness in me. To this day, I still continue to think about June, when I am nice and thin, and it gets me through any ruts I am in. Good luck. Mindi 277/189.5/115??
