Guest guest
I am new to tnis group. I am scheduled to have lap RNY on Dec. 9th . I am scared to death even though I know this is the right thing for me to do. I am a 30 year old mother, wife, and RN. I have been over weight all my life. I have been dieting since I was a teenager only to gain it back and get bigger and bigger. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome to make matters worse. I have come to the point that I can't take it anymore. I would like to hear other people's stories of having the surgery (good or bad) and how much weight they lost. Also, any problems you came across. And would you do it again? Thank You, Debbie Crenshaw bcndc@...
Guest guest
welcome debbie. there's a few nurses onboard & most report that being an " insider " can be a disadvantage---you know, being familiar w/ the medical aspects. yes, i would do it again, though @ times, wls CREATES probs, hassles & heartaches. but the Man Above gives me the fortitude & tenacity to overcome. lori h. > I am new to tnis group. Guest guest
Your story almost parallels mine. Except I am an LPN, not an RN. I have been overweight since adolecence and finally threw in the towel and had the surgery. Mine was done LAP and i have not regretted it since!
