Guest guest
I had an open rny 2 weeks ago. The first 2 weeks are tiring. I was lucky that my Husband was able to be home with me. The pain is constantly there the first week. But everyday I have seen some improvement in the pain. I can now slowly bend down and retrieve things up off the floor, do a load of laundry making sure not to lift to much at a time. I take 3 walks a day lasting about 20 minutes each. It was about 9 days before I could put both socks on. About 8 days before I stopped taking my narcotics. Just using Tylenol now for pain. The hardest thing is to get enough fluids in. I feel like I constantly have Water that I am sipping on and trying to get down. I have no appetite. I only eat because I know I should. Remembering to take all my vitamins and meds is a little hard, because they have to spaced out over the day. I usually take a nap everyday for about 45min-hour. Sleeping is a little hard, because it is hard to get comfortable on my side. Overall things are going okay. Just taking things one step at a time. Hope this helps and doesn't scare you.
